Barbara M Sims

President

Barbara’s career in direct marketing began in 1981 at Craver, Mathews, Smith & Company where she spent more than a decade learning and perfecting her skills. As Director of Fundraising she worked with a broad based client roster which included prominent organizations such as: Christian Children’s Fund, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, National Organization for Women, Better World Society, National Abortion Rights Action League, American Civil Liberties Union and Conservation International. She managed all aspects of these direct mail fundraising programs and was simultaneously the Director in charge of new business.

In 1992, she joined CELCO with a unique perspective of what an organization needs from a list broker and manager. Her goal was and remains to provide clients with superior list services. Her background in fundraising gives her a unique ability to enhance list planning, as well as provide general fundraising counsel.

Currently she works on some of the firms most extensive mailers. This has allowed her to participate in new and productive fundraising techniques, models, budgets and analysis.

She also uses her time to work with all of our brokers, providing additional expertise and experience to all of our clients’ work.

As owner, Barbara’s duties include oversight of the management and finances of the company; but her main role and passion remains that of fundraising list broker. Since the purchase of the company, Barbara and CELCO have worked hard to grow its expertise, resources, staff and client roster.

Barbara is a graduate of Radford University, located in Radford, Virginia.
