Dottie Simmons Parham

Dottie has more than 35 years of direct marketing fundraising experience.  After seven years at Craver, Mathews, Smith and Company, where she spent the early years of her career learning and honing her analytical skills, she moved to Arizona where she founded WFC Direct, the direct marketing arm of one of the Southwest’s leading advertising agencies.  She continued to raise money for local and national political and non-profit clients including Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, Morris K. Udall and Scottsdale Center for the Arts.  She also expanded her resume to include commercial accounts such as Southwest Savings, Baker University, Blue Chip Computers and Trillium Telephone Systems.

Moving back to the East Coast in 1988, she worked as an independent consultant and also for several large fundraising agencies including OMP, where she progressed from Senior Analyst to Director of Integrated Marketing to Vice President.  Dottie joined CELCO in 2004.

Given a background that includes both the “science” and the “creative” of non-profit fundraising, public relations and advertising, Dottie offers a mature numbers and marketing approach to our client programs, helping them to meet and exceed their goals and challenges.

Her disciplined and aggressive approach to new member acquisition has significantly helped her clients such as the American Civil Liberties Union, Oxfam America,  and the Natural Resources Defense Council.  Her expertise continues to help our clients protect and grow their member/donor base, while improving their net income and strengthening long-term fundraising and communications strategies.

Dottie attended Elon University located in Elon, North Carolina.
